How to adapt the Society 5.0 and its development, include learning and developing some essential entrepreneurial skills?

Luven - The Society 5.0, which is a vision of Japan with the name Super Smart Society would barely be a challenge to adapt as the society today, Society 4.0 called Information Society is already heading the right direction. Adaptation of Society 5.0 can be done by making amends starting from today, which Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology themselves had already started in the learning process of primary to university students whereby the education system is leaning towards a more flexible grade progression, and subjects like programming, computer science and business become crucial subjects to score (Varndell, n.d.). All this is in line with Yoshimasa Hayashi, Japan’s former Minister of Education who states the emphasis should be on developing skills such as leadership, entrepreneurship, communication and endurance (Varndell, n.d.). As for the essential entrepreneurial skills required for the preparation of Society 5.0, the Scholarly Community Encyclopedia says the norms are still evolving, but firstly it is all about progress and prioritizing well-being (Tavares, 2022). Then, the first step begins with equipping oneself with the entrepreneurial mindset, which includes taking risks when there are opportunities, embracing failure and thinking positively in situations where many would give up (Kille, 2023). {202 words}

Chong In order to adapt to Society 5.0, we first must understand what Society 5.0 is. According to Deguchi et al. (2020), the fundamental foundation of Society 5.0 is the collection and processing of data from the "real world" by computers, with the outcomes being implemented in the literal world. Incorporating entrepreneurial abilities and adjusting to the tenets of Society 5.0 can be achieved by concentrating on a few critical approaches. The first is that they ought to give priority to critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills since these are essential for handling the intricate issues that come with Society 5.0 (Sajidan et al., 2021b). Solving problems, thinking critically, and being creative are valued in this day and age. Recognizing the value of integrating technology and encouraging experimentation to address difficult problems are essential (Society 5.0, n.d.). Facilitating the process of determining decision skills and seeking collaborative opportunities can enhance an individual's ability to capitalize on business prospects within the Society 5.0 framework (Çipi et al., 2023).  These days, problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and creativity are praised. By integrating these strategies into personal and professional development, individuals can effectively adapt to the principles of Society 5.0 while also cultivating essential entrepreneurial skills. {201 words}

Naviin - Society 5.0 is a human-centered society that revolves around the implementation of advanced technologies aimed at solving social problems while balancing economic considerations (IKIM, 2020). It has followed the previous societies, starting from Society 1.0 to Society 4.0. The new and emerging society requires humans to have the ability to adapt and learn quickly, while also understanding various types of knowledge. First and foremost, the ability to adapt starts from keeping up with the latest trends in every field available, ranging from technologies to finance. As humans, we should always learn about emerging and advancing technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and so on. This will help us greatly in adapting to the development of society. Secondly, it is essential to have an entrepreneurial mindset so that the risks and investments taken can result in opportunities for future improvements. Additionally, it is important to possess the ability to think agilely and find solutions to problems through exploring various fields and aspects of the future. (Society 5.0, n.d.) This can lead to making various connections with people in other expertise areas, forming partnerships, and exchanging information. These are some essential steps and basics in order to adapt to the new and emerging society, which revolves around humans with the help of technological advancements. {213 words}

Nareen - Society 5.0 is an interesting concept which uses technologies to store and oversee real-time data which is linked to people’s smart devices such as smartphone, robots and more which are IoT devices (SYDLE, n.d.). But what is society 5.0? Every society from 1.0 until 4.0 are centered around something for instance 1.0 is centered around agriculture. Society 5.0 on the other hand is centered around humans and a very integrated system of cyberspace and physical space which connects economic growth and social problems (Society 5.0, n.d.). Even though technologies are evolving at a fast rate, humans still can adapt to it with several ways. One of the ways is to learn new skills and improve day by day with proper education and training. This is crucial because it is centered around humans, thus everyone must achieve a certain level to coexist with society 5.0 easily. However, technical skills will be less important in the future due to machines and smart technologies. Soft skills which are creativity skills, problem-solving skills and communication skills will have more benefit in the society 5.0 (Da Conceiçâo Tavares et al., 2022). Not only that, in business standpoint, we can try to identify opportunities that will be important in the future mostly in technological industries, by knowing this, we can take it as a starting point to develop more ideas (Çipi et al., 2023). {227 words}

Sze Jay - Society 5.0 emphasizes the integration of digital technologies into all aspect of society to solve social issues and improve quality of life. Identifying societal needs is fundamental for entrepreneurs operating within the Society 5.0 era. Entrepreneurs serve as key observers and analyzers of societal trends and challenges, aiming to pinpoint pressing needs that resonate with the principles of Society 5.0. This involves a comprehensive understanding of demographic shifts, cultural dynamics, and emerging issues within communities. For instance, entrepreneurs may identify challenges such as healthcare accessibility disparities, digital literacy gaps, or sustainable resource management needs. Research studies conducted by social scientists, market research firms, and government agencies offer valuable insights into societal trends and needs. Qualitative analyses, such as those conducted by Smith (2019) via interviews and focus groups, provide nuanced understanding of challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurship. Additionally, reports such as the Japan Science and Technology Agency's Society 5.0 initiative outline a comprehensive vision for leveraging technology to enhance societal well-being (Japan Science and Technology Agency, 2018). Reports like the United Nations' World Population Prospects (2020) provide data-driven insights into demographic trends and projections, aiding entrepreneurs in understanding societal needs and preferences. By systematically identifying and addressing these needs, entrepreneurs can develop innovative solutions that not only contribute to societal well-being but also align with the goals of Society 5.0. {220 words}
